Applied Physical Science Course Description

This course is designed as a three part course. The first part examines chemistry the structure and interaction of matter. The second part deals with physics motion, Newtonian mechanics, and forms of energy. Part three introduces the student to the processes that occur within the Earth and the origin and evolution of stars and other heavenly bodies. Special emphasis will be given to the integration of scientific concepts and to the study of scientific current events. Reasoning, technical reading, writing and lab skills are emphasized.
