2016 LHHS Finals Schedule
LHHS will run its finals schedule during the last week of the school year.  Please click here to view the underclassman schedule.  For senior finals, please refer to the senior page on the left side of this page. 
Physicals Offered for 2016-2017
Licking Heights Athletic Training is offering, through its partnership with OhioHealth, physicals for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. Please see the attachments for details concerning times, addresses and general procedures. 
LHHS 2016 Prom
Junior/Senior Prom will be held Friday, April 29th from 7-11 pm at the Skylight in Newark. The theme is Casino Royale, so expect a fun-filled night of dinner and dancing. Tickets will be $70 each and will be available to purchase during lunches starting Wednesday, April 13th.  Checks can be made payable to Licking Heights High School. LHHS announces Award Ceremonies
LHHS will honor our students for all of their success from the 2015-2016 school year at our annual end of the year award ceremonies.  The underclassman award ceremony will be held on May 19th from 7:00-8:30pm.  The senior award ceremony will be held on May 23rd from 6:00-7:30pm. All ceremonies will be held in the main gym.  Please come join us for our celebration and the recognition of our students. 
AIR Testing Schedule Announced
LHHS will give the AIR state exams from Monday, April 11th through Wednesday, April 20th.  Students that are currently enrolled in English 9, English 10, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, American History, and American Government will be tested.  The testing window is every morning from 7:25 - 9:10am.  Click Here to download the complete testing schedule.  If you have any further questions about how testing will impact your child, please visit Test Talk for Parents from the Ohio Department of Education. 
LHHS student published in Germ Magazine
Congratulations to LHHS freshmen, Sydney Tatum, for being published.  Sydney submitted her poem entitled, "Crying Stardust" to Germ magazine and was recognized for her passion and thought provoking ideas by having it published on March 13th.  Click here to check it out.
Athena receives DECA award
Athena Williams accepted her first place trophy at the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference on March 19th.  She competed in the Principles of Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Event.   Athena and several other members of the Licking Heights DECA chapter have qualified to compete at the International DECA Career Development Conference in Nashville, TN in April.  Congratulations, Athena!!!! 
New Immunizations required for incoming 7th and 12th graders
Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, all incoming 7th and 12th grade students in Ohio schools must have proof that they have the age appropriate meningococcal vaccines. Letters will be coming home with current 6th and 11th grade students with information about the new requirements. 
Model UN brings home big awards at the state competition
The Licking Heights High School Ohio Model United Nations Club attended their state conference from 11/29-12/1. Five teams representing the nations of Ghana, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Poland and Armenia debated global issues with students from around the state. 
Ms. Bezbatchenko and Spence Queen selected for the National History Day Experience
Licking Heights' teacher, Ms. Mary Bezbatchenko and student, Spencer Queen, have been selected to represent Ohio in the 2016 National History Day Experience in Normandy, France.  Click Here to see the official press release.
