News & Announcements
PSAT on October 14th
LHHS will give the PSAT to all students in the ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades on Wednesday, October 14th.  The PSAT allows for 11th grade students to compete nationally for scholarships and provides the school with valuable data about student progress.  Twelfth grade students are not required to attend school on Wednesday.  Instead, twelfth grade students are encouraged to use this time to explore careers or colleges of interest by visiting a school or workplace.  Twelfth grade students may also use this time for community service and work towards the twenty required hours for graduation.  Check out the room assignment list for Wednesday.
LHHS ACT Preparation Program
LHHS will offer ACT prep for all students beginning on Tuesday, October 13th.  Preparation sessions will run for one hour, after school from 2:45-3:45pm.  The preparation program will focus in the three areas of English, Math, and Science with two days being dedicated to each.  This program leads up to the test offered at the high school on Saturday, October 24th.
US Army's Star Club starting at LHHS
Working in partnership with the US Army, LHHS will start a Star Club for all students interested in leadship and personal growth.  The program focuses on building successful students by exposing them to both physical and mental challenges.  This is achieved through the exposure to leadship ideas, ACT/SAT preparation, and physical training.  The club meets on Wednesdays, after school, from 3-4pm.  The club is led by two representatives from the US Army.  Stop by the guidance office if you have further questions.
