Welcome to Science with Mrs. Lewis!
Greetings! My name is Crystal Lewis and I am teaching physical science and biology here at Licking Heights. I graduated from the University of North Carolina- Asheville with a bachelor's degree in biology and got my teaching certificate shortly afterwards. Since then, I have taught almost every science available for grades 7-11. I have spent the last four years traveling across the United States and have lived in Arizona, Washington, and South Carolina. I am happy to be in Ohio and I look forward to an exciting year of exploration with Licking Heights High School. Go hornets!
Physical Science

In physical science we will explore what our world is made of and how it all works. We will start with chemistry for the first semester, then work our way into physics and astronomy for the second semester. This class will include labs and problem-solving activities.

In biology, we will focus on what makes life possible and discover all the diversity it has to offer. During the first semester we will investigate cells and how they work to create and sustain life. In the second semester, we will take a look at the how the Earth's different organisms fit into our understanding of life. This class will include labs and research projects.
