I attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Wright State in 2015 with a degree in Instrumental Music Education. My first two years of teaching were spent in Dayton, where I taught K-8 General Music. This is my first year at Licking Heights, where I am teaching K-4 general music, in addition to assisting with the high school marching band during the fall season.
I am very passionate about teaching elementary music! I love making music with young children and I especially love being with them in the early stages of their learning. I strive to help each of my students succeed within my classroom, but also hope to help them develop skills so they may continue to succeed anywhere they go. I come from a family of teachers, so a life-long love of learning is something I've been fortunate to grow up, and hope to instill in my own students along the way. I hope to help students develop their own understanding and appreciation of music early on, so that they may have their love of music as a tool at their disposal long after they have left my classroom.
