Licking Heights Board of Education welcomes one new member, two re-electees
Voters in the Licking Heights School District elected three community members to the Licking Heights Board of Education Tues., Nov. 7. Tracy Ann Russ and Paul David Johnson were re-elected, and Mark Rader will join the Board of Education in January, 2018 as a new member.

"I am looking forward to continuing our positive forward progress with this Board of Education,” said Dr. Philip Wagner, superintendent. “Yesterday’s election reestablished the commitment of two seasoned incumbents, as well as brought one new member - Mr. Mark Rader, a graduate of the district. Licking Heights Local Schools is stronger because of their dedication and involvement.”

“I am grateful to the Licking Heights community for trusting in me to serve another term as a member of the Licking Heights Board of Education. I will continue to listen to our community, and understand its values and concerns. I will make a positive difference in the work of our school board, and be an effective advocate for our community's educational vision. Within my second term, I also look forward to being part of the team that will successfully construct, build and eventually open our new high school in August of 2020.”

My top priorities for this term are to enhance resident engagement, increase collaboration among communities that make up our school district, and to help Licking Heights become the top academic district in central Ohio.”

I plan to work collaboratively with my board colleagues to address issues such as proactive communication with all community members, and moving towards an educational program that prepares all of today’s kids for their future.”
