Change coming to meal prepayment program
A change is coming to our Licking Heights meal prepayment program with MySchoolBucks. The MySchoolBucks website allows for automatic account reload and offers email reminders when your student's account is low. MySchoolBucks has recently notified the district that the online convenience fee for account prepayment is increasing Dec. 12 to $2.49 per transaction. Parents can still send in cash or a check to add to student meal accounts without any fees, but online payment at www.myschoolbucks.com will incur the $2.49 transaction fee.
To encourage prepayments, and to offset the cost of the convenience fee, Licking Heights Local Schools is instituting a "bonus meal" program. Parents who choose to use online meal payments beginning 12/12/17 will be eligible for a free "bonus meal" if prepayment is made for 20 meals in one transaction, per student. This equates to a $50 prepayment for elementary meals and a $55 prepayment for middle or high school meals. The bonus meal is per student account if the equivalent of one month's meals ($50 or $55) is prepaid in one transaction.
