Licking Heights High School hosts annual showcase night

The staff of Licking Heights High School opened the doors to incoming students Wed., Jan. 24. The evening event showcased a variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular programs available to students.


Families were able to meet with teachers, administrators and counselors, who discussed scheduling processes and opportunities for involvement. The counseling department presented information on Advanced Placement (AP) and College Credit Plus programming, sharing that LHHS offers 12 AP and 10 Honors courses.


Student representatives from the advanced choir, student council, DECA, yearbook and athletic training programs were on hand to share their experiences.


“We have nearly 80 percent of our staff here, showcasing the variety of offerings we have at Licking Heights,” said Ken Kraemer, principal. “We’re excited to welcome our incoming freshman families, as well as our current hornets who are exploring new pathways.”
