Michelle Lisy receives 2017 Leaders for Learning award

Middle school physical education teacher Michelle Lisy was the Licking Heights recipient of the 2017 Leaders for Learning award! This award was created by the Licking County Foundation in 1993 to promote excellence in public education and honor exemplary teachers in our county. Since then, 322 Licking County teachers have been recognized as Leaders for Learning.

An excerpt from Ms. Lisy’s nomination from Mrs. Tiffane Warren, principal:

"Since 2003, Ms. Lisy has gone above and beyond to help her students. She mentors colleagues and assists administration with extra duties. As well, she is a leader in her department and helped co-develop new courses for physical education. She coordinates the middle school secret Santa for less fortunate children and is the faculty chair for the wellness committee. Ms. Lisy always has a positive attitude and is supportive as well as encouraging of staff and students. We are very pleased to recognize her leadership with this honor.”

Congratulations, Ms. Lisy!
