The district allows outside organizations to rent our facilities to host community events. Sometimes, outside organizations rent and utilize our space for an event that does not align with our district’s mission, vision, or values. Regardless of its adherence to our mission, as a public institution, we are legally not allowed to deny an organization's use of our facilities, as this is a violation of First Amendment rights. Community organizations that use our spaces are not sponsored or endorsed by Licking Heights Local Schools.
All organizations seeking to use district facilities must pay rental fees. Scheduling is only possible when facilities are not in use, as district activities take precedence over community events. Rental fees are required to ensure there is no cost to the community or taxpayer expense for the outside organization’s community event.
