2024-25 Kindergarten Pre-registration NOW LIVE

If your child is 5 years old by September 30 and lives in the Licking Heights Local School District, they are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have any questions, please contact our Registrar, Kelly Roche, at (740) 927-6926 or by email at lhenrollment@lhschools.org. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours to process your registration.

If you would like to know which elementary school your student will be attending in 2024-2025, you can CLICK HERE and put in your address.

Please follow these steps to enroll your child in the Licking Heights Local School District:

Step 1: Pre-register online by CLICKING HERE.

Step 2: Email all required documents (birth certificate, immunization records, parent’s ID, mortgage/lease/notarized Residency Agreement, utility bills and custody documents, if applicable) to [email protected]

Step 3: Sign your student up for Kindergarten Screening by CLICKING HERE.

Step 4: After July 1, 2024, parents/guardians will need to log into PowerSchool and complete the Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) forms which are located under “Forms” on the left hand side. Click on “Enrollment.” The EMA tabs will then be visible. Tab F, the transportation form under New Student Forms, will also need to be completed. These tabs/forms MUST be completed before the first day of school or the student will not be permitted to attend school until all forms are completed.

Licking Heights’ annual Kindergarten Screening will be held on April 18, 19, and 22 at Licking Heights North Elementary, 6507 Summit Road, Pataskala. Please plan to bring your student with you to the appointment for the screening.

During the screening process, your student will be individually screened in readiness skills, hearing, vision, and speech and language. This is just a short screening to determine needs. The only requirements to begin kindergarten at Licking Heights is that the student is 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2024 and resides within the school district.

If your child is currently attending Central Preschool, we will send home a letter with special instructions to complete their Kindergarten registration. This letter will include the steps and information needed for Kindergarten enrollment. Please wait until your child brings home this letter to enroll them in Kindergarten.

2024-2025 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION AND SCREENING INFORMATION FOR CURRENT PRESCHOOL STUDENTS

Licking Heights' annual kindergarten screening will be held on April 18, 19, and 22 at Licking Heights North Elementary. Incoming students must be five years of age on or before Sept. 30, 2024. Please bring your child with you to the appointment for the screening.

Parents/Guardians of students attending Licking Heights Central Preschool should follow these steps to register your child for kindergarten:

Step 1: If the student is a current preschool student, they will only need to provide residency documents if they are on a lease and it expires before school starts or on a Residency Agreement. Students with a new lease must submit an updated lease and utility bill, and students on a Residency Agreement must submit a new notarized RA and a utility bill from the owner and parent. For all other students currently enrolled at Central Preschool, all enrollment documents submitted when a student was enrolled at Central Preschool will follow them to kindergarten.
