Licking Heights Girls Soccer to Host Athletes Vs. Epilepsy Game Sept. 13
Playing with a purpose is a priority for Licking Heights athletes. On Wed., Sept. 13, the varsity girls soccer team will host their annual Athletes Vs. Epilepsy game to support education, safety, and training within schools for those living with epilepsy. This year, the Hornets will host the Zanesville High School Blue Devils.

Varsity will start at 6:30 pm and play a full game. It will take place at the soccer complex at Licking Heights Middle School, 4000 Mink Street SW, Pataskala, OH 43062.

The event will also include a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, restaurant raffles, and a food truck.

This is the third year the girls soccer program has hosted an Athletes Vs. Epilepsy game. The team started the event in 2021 in honor of an epileptic teammate who demonstrated to them the values of persistence, strength, and dedication. In the last two years, the teams have raised over $4,000 to fund trainings for four Seizure Safe Schools. Interested community members can make a donation to the cause on the team’s fundraising page.

Tickets are $7 and available for advance purchase online via HomeTown Ticketing. Visit lhathletics.com for details and to purchase tickets.
